Tired of the ocean waves and the sunshine landscapes and sunsets?? I am.. so here is something that I found from one of my mainland trips.. A little squirrely :) :) He was soooo cute scampering around in the trees.. We have nothing like him here so I just fell in love with him!! :) :) I would guess the closest little animal here would be something like a mongoose and really they are nothing like a cute squirrel!!

It looks almost identical to our Eastern Gray Squirrel. I have lots of them coming here every day for peanuts to eat or to lick natural peanut butter off the tree bark where I put it. They are very intelligence animals. Your photo of this one is also very nice.
I like the way his tail is showing off the side of the branch. Nice lighting too. A change of pace is always good.

How far were you from the squirrel?
You're right, squirrels are cuter than mongooses, plus there aren't any acorns in Honolulu.
I like the squirrel picture very much. We have both Fox Squirrels and Gray Squirrels here.
I also think the wave photos are fantastic!

Good capture. These guys are cute until you want to have birds come to a bird feeder that you've hung in your yard...then they become very, very pesky.
