King Kamehameha Statue. Every year in honor of King Kamehameha the statue is draped in lei. It is amazing how long those lei are and how beautiful they look... This year again the sky was cloudy and overcast. Darn was hoping for some nice puffy clouds behind the Statue.. Oh well..It was still a beautiful site. Aloha, Renee :)

I learned something today. The plural of lei is lei. I didn't know that :)

This is a beautiful even with the overcast day.

Aloha to you too.
Beautiful Lei around the King's neck. I have a picture of hubby as a teenager by the statue trying to look like the King himself. His family called him King after that.

Cool shot! Nice use of the foreground of the hedge framing the statue.

You must have been there early this morning. I hope you did not get overrun by Japanese tourists. :-D
