This is a tiny teeny super small wild flower that I think is called a Giraffe Head. Part of the Mint Family (Lamiaceae). It is suppose to bloom March through August. (got that info from the internet. HA! ) There were a few of them blooming and I thought they were so cute. Can you see the giraffe?

Hi :) I am still in California but my mom is finally getting better... slowly!! :) :) Finally got a chance to head out and take a few shots. I saw this colorful bush --back lighting provided by the morning sun. I was with a small group of photographers seeking out wild flowers.... . Well how was I to know that this is poison oak!! Oh well I still think it is cool looking :) :) Thank goodness I didn't catch any.. :) :) I am going to try to post more frequently and to get back to commenting again. Aloha, Renee :) :)
