Fall colors near June Lake in Calif. in the Eastern Sierra's close to Mono Lake. Yup I am still in Calif but will be returning to Hawaii soon...I hope.. :) :) I am soooo homesick.. :) :) Still don't have my photoshop program so sorry for the dull images :)

Hi Stranger, its been a long time. I have missed you. So you are still in CA. Wow a long time I take it. We were at Mono Lake and drove around the June Lake loop back in early Spring. What a fascinating place.

Hi Renee, it is great to see you posting again and I hope you are able to continue. I have missed your beautiful images and these you posted today are exceptional. I love the colors and the composition.

In reference to your question about the elk-yes it is true that most of the animals near the major tourist areas are so tame that they will walk to within a few feet of a human or a human may walk very close to them. Under those circumstances it is more of an elk "shoot" rather than a "hunt". I think hunting should be stopped in these areas where the elk are so trusting.
