I think you may be onto something and should consider exploring it furthur.
I don't think it's too strange at all. It's a lovely blend of colors with a soft pattern. You should explore this type of shot a bit more!
I agree with pidge for sure... excellent and I think you might be onto something really awesome for backlighting AND burst of color! :)
